contextual healing

Let's talk for a minute about context. When shopping for clothes,  you need to be able to imagine individual items not in the context of the store they're in, but how they will look in the context of your closet.

For example..

Here I am wearing a men's shirt from the thrift store and thrift store pumps. The skirt and jacket are from a cheap, Jr's retailer (think ForeverWhatever). Those stores might appear overall not to have anything for you, but try to imagine individual pieces not crammed into overwhelming racks and racks of inappropriate items, but instead fitting into your wardrobe. With that in mind, you can find clothes in basically any store.
